2020 has already started but I wanted to share this really small blog post about my top 2020 reading goals.
There are a lot of things happening this year that have made my reading goals pretty small and less ambitious, compared to last year.
But without further ado, here are my 2020 goals.
Read 70 books
Collect the Barnes & Nobles classic edition
I am a huge lover of classic books, and I want pretty version of it on my shelves. Yes, I am that person.
Read outside my comfort zone
I tend to fall into reading a lot of books from genre that I know I will enjoy (aka YA fantasy and classics), but I want to read more outside my comfort zone. In 2019, I started to read manga which is something I have never done before. I’m hoping that in 2020, I will pick up different genre.
Read from my local library
In 2019, two things happened: 1) I got my TBR down to zero, and 2) I got my TBR back to 40+ books in less than 2 days. Now, I don’t have a problem with TBRs except that I tend to not read from them. I am someone who buys it and reads it type of person, so when something sit there for longer than a week, I start to lose interest. However, I have always noticed that financially I spent money on authors that I didn’t know if I would like, and a lot of the books were impulse buy.
So in 2020, I wish to read from my local library instead. Hopefully, it will make me more conscious on utilizing my public library and supporting it, instead of constantly buying books.
And those are all my goals for 2020. Wishing you all a wonderful year and good luck!
